Πριν έρθω μόνιμα στο Wrocław (Βρότσλαβ) για δουλειά, είχα έρθει, μαζί με κάποιους άλλους συναδέλφους, για δύο τρεις μέρες για να συμμετάσχουμε σε κάποιες συνομιλίες... Οι ντόπιοι συνάδελφοι είχαν κανονίσει να μας βγάλουν το βράδυ για φαγητό. Στο ενδιάμεσο διάστημα, ανάμεσα στις συνομιλίες και στο ραντεβού για φαγητό, έκανα μία βόλτα στη Rynek (Ρίνεκ - η παλιά Αγορά), στο κέντρο της πόλης...
Παιρνόντας από ένα από τα στενάκια, η μύτη μου έπιασε μια μυρωδιά από κουζίνα εστιατορίου... Μου έκανε τόσο πολύ εντύπωση που με έκανε να ευχηθώ να είναι αυτό το εστιατόριο που θα τρώγαμε εκείνο το βράδυ... Δεν ήταν, όμως...
Παιρνόντας από ένα από τα στενάκια, η μύτη μου έπιασε μια μυρωδιά από κουζίνα εστιατορίου... Μου έκανε τόσο πολύ εντύπωση που με έκανε να ευχηθώ να είναι αυτό το εστιατόριο που θα τρώγαμε εκείνο το βράδυ... Δεν ήταν, όμως...
Όταν πλέον βρέθηκα μόνιμα στην πόλη, είχα βάλει στόχο να δοκιμάσω το φαγητό σε αυτό το μαγαζί... Βρέθηκα ένα καλοκαιρινό απόγευμα, λοιπόν, πάλι στη Ρίνεκ... Τα τραπέζια του εστιατορίου ήταν όλα γεμάτα, οπότε κάθησα σε ένα παγκάκι εκεί κοντά και περίμενα... Κάποια στίγμη ένα ζευγάρι σηκώθηκε και έφυγε... Πολύ γρήγορα κάθησα εγώ στο τραπέζι...
Η σερβιτόρα με ρώτησε αν είχα κάτσει για φαγητό, είπα ναι και σε λίγο μου έφερε τον κατάλογο... Παρήγγειλα Sałata z kurkami i kozim serem (σαλάτα με μανιτάρια cantharellus cibarius και κατσικίσιο τυρί) και μία από τις προτάσεις του σεφ, ένα πιάτο με παϊδάκια αρνίσια... Το φαγητό ήταν φανταστικό και ειδικά την σαλάτα την ερωτεύτηκα...
Πήγα πολλές φορές ξανά σε αυτό το εστιατόριο... Δεν υπήρξε πιάτο που να παρήγγειλα και να μην το απόλαυσα!! Το τελευταίο αγαπημένο μου είναι το Smażona sola, podana na liściach szpinaku z sosem borowikowym i grillowanymi ziemniakami (ψητό ψάρι γλώσσα πάνω σε φύλλα από σπανάκι με μανιτάρια και ψητές πατάτες).
Το μαγαζί λέγεται "Pod Papugami", που θα πει "Κάτω από τους παπαγάλους". Το φαγητό εκεί θα σας κοστίσει, για δύο άτομα, γύρω στα 150-160 złoty (γύρω στα 40 ευρώ, ανάλογα με την τρέχουσα ισοτιμία) και σίγουρα αξίζει τα λεφτά του...
Στο εσωτερικό του μαγαζιού υπάρχει τις καθημερινές live μουσική...

[ENG] Before coming permanently in the Polish city Wrocław for work, I came here, along with some other colleagues, for two or three days to take part in some talks... Our local colleagues had arranged to get us out in the evening for dinner. In the meantime between the talks and the arrangement for lunch, I made a walk at Rynek (the old marketplace)... Walking on one of the streets of Rinek, my nose caught some smells from the cuisine of a restaurant... I wished this to be the restaurant that we were going to eat at that night... It was not... When I came permanently in the city, I had in my mind to taste the food of this restaurant... I was again at the Rinek during a summer afternoon... The tables outside of the restaurant were all full, so I sat on a bench nearby and waited... Eventually a couple got up and left... Very quickly I sat at the table... The waitress asked me if I was there for lunch, I said "yes" and she brought me the menu... I ordered Sałata z kurkami i kozim serem (salad with mushrooms cantharellus cibarius and goat cheese) and one of chef's suggestions, a dish of lamb chops... The food was fantastic and I loved the salad... I Have been again at this restaurant several times... There was no dish that I ate there and i did not enjoy it! My favorite now is "Smażona sola, podana na liściach szpinaku z sosem borowikowym i grillowanymi ziemniakami" (grilled fish on spinach leaves with mushrooms and roasted potatoes). The restaurant is called "Pod Papugami", which means "Under the parrots". The food for two will cost around 150-160 złoty (which is around 40 euros, depending on the current rate). Inside the shop, during the working days, there is live music...
