Το "κάψιμο του Ιούδα" είναι ένα έθιμο αρκετά γνωστό στον Ελληνικό χώρο, το οποίο λαμβάνει χώρα, κατά κανόνα, την Κυριακή του Πάσχα... Ιδιαίτερα εντυπωσιακό είναι το αντίστοιχο έθιμο στο Ακρωτήρι της Σαντορίνης... Εκεί, η τιμωρία του Ιούδα περιλαμβάνει τρία μέρη: την περιφορά του Ιούδα σε όλο το χωριό, την δίκη του και τέλος το κάψιμο του, μέσα σε πυροβολισμούς...

[ENG] The burning of the effigy of Judas Iscariot is a common tradition in Greece in Easter Sunday... In the village Akrotiri of Santorini the punishment of Judas comprises of three events: The procession of Judas around the village, so as people to curse him while treat his guards with wine and sweets, the trial of Judas, where everyone from the village can testify for Judas' crimes, and finally his burning... The procession of Judas starts early in the morning, with horses and donkeys, and the convoy passes from all the houses of the village singing short songs...
