Τις παραμονές του εορτασμού της Βουλγαρικής Ανεξαρτησίας από τους Τούρκους, στις 2 Μαρτιού, μπορεί κανείς να δει στο Велико Търново (Βέλικο Τάρνοβο) ένα εντυπωσιακό θέαμα "Звук и светлина" (Zβουκ η Σβετλίνα - "Ήχος και Φως"). Το θέαμα αυτό πρωτοξεκίνησε στην πόλη το 1985 κατά τον εορτασμό των 800 χρόνων από την εξέγερση των Βούλγαρων και των Βλάχων, η οποία οδήγησε στην ίδρυση της Δεύτερης Βουλγαρικής Αυτοκρατορίας...
